Whilst the introduction of the Enterprise Act has reduced the number of parties able to appoint Administrative Receivers it remains an important tool where is remains available. There are a number of advantages of this process compared to Administration in particular tax and the role of the IP concerned. However Administrative Receivership does not provide some of the benefits of Administration such as the Moratorium.

Where the ability to appoint an Administrative Receiver exists we will consider this as an option available to the stakeholder and weigh up the advantages and disadvantages. We also recognise that some funders do not wish to appear to be appointing receivers and such considerations would be factored into our recommendations.
