Funders and Financiers

We recognise that funders normally wish to continue to support the management team in turning the business around since this will normally result in the best outcome for all concerned.

We specialise in independent business reviews to identify the key issues and as required can advise on appropriate strategies for funders to exit their investment.

Shareholders

Shareholders wish to maintain the value of their investment and this can often be achieved though a turnaround strategy.

This could involve the use of interim managers, 'first aid' advice and support or the use of recovery techniques such as Company Voluntary Arrangements.

Directors/management

Directors may need a trusted advisor to advise and assist through the financial difficulties. We can provide this together with general management and strategic support, assistance in restructuring the business and if necessary take complete control of the business and its affairs.

If a business has entered a formal insolvency procedure we can provide post insolvency assistance in preparing the statement of affairs (usually at no direct cost to the director concerned), review of the directors' questionnaire or assistance in purchasing the business back from the Insolvency Practitioner concerned.

Directors of companies that have entered into Company Voluntary arrangements often find themselves 'abandoned' by the Insolvency Practitioner following approval of the agreement. We can provide commercial support and advice to management during the period of the arrangement.

Employees

If a company is placed into an insolvency process there is usually a period of significant uncertainty as to the future and process involved.

We can help by providing support and advice to employees. We can also assist in structuring a purchase of the business from the insolvency practitioner by a group of 1 or more employees.

Creditors

If you have a customer that is evidently experiencing financial difficulties then the recovery process may involve obtaining a CCJ and eventually seeking a winding up order. This often results in a total write off of any amounts owed. We can help in recovery situations where you have an influence over the party concerned to ensure that you recover as much as possible of your debt.

This may involve an agreed review of the business and us helping the customer in turning the business around or assistance in placing it into an insolvency procedure that results in the best return to you.

We can also act as liquidator or supervisor of a CVA should you have concerns over any proposed Insolvency Practitioner (for example if you think they are too close to management).

Professional advisors

Trusted advisors are often the first place management or funders turn to when a business is facing financial difficulties. If the advisor has limited experience in advising the company or individual on the options available they need to be able to turn to a 'partner' who can offer a service that reflects their firm's ethos.

Our solutions can be adapted to suit the requirements of the party referring the work. Such requirements may be to provide assistance in recovering outstanding fees or helping the business survive so that the client is not lost.

We can either work independently of, or together with, the advisor providing commercial profitable benefits to all concerned.
